Director Akiv Ali’s De De Pyaar De has managed to perform very well at the ticket windows. Apart from the domestic market, the urban romantic comedy has garnered great footfalls in the international markets. Till now, the film has grossed Rs 86.76 crore (Rs 69.41 crore) in India and Rs 15 crore at the overseas box office. De De Pyaar De now stands with the grand total of Rs 101.76 crore.
De De Pyaar De, which released on May 17, was given a U/A certificate from The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) which had suggested the makers of the film to replace an alcohol bottle in a song with a bouquet of flowers. When asked if she had apprehensions before signing the film as it stars powerhouse talents like Ajay Devgn and Tabu, Rakul Preet replied, “I was not apprehensive. Not at all. There is nothing great about working with actors who under perform. I always believe in working with the best as it motivates you. They are wonderful co-stars. I had a wonderful experience working with them.”

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is currently shooting for his upcoming production venture Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero, which marks the directorial debut of Om Raut. Made on the lavish budget of Rs 150 crore, it is one of the ambitious projects of Ajay Devgn. The period film also stars Kajol along with Saif Ali Khan, who will play the lead antagonist in the venture. Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero is scheduled to hit the screens on January 10, 2020, and will lock horns with Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak, which is directed by Raazi helmer Meghna Gulzar.
