Fans were left scratching their heads this morning when Cheryl stepped out with a seemingly puffy face.
Arriving at Capital Radio to promote her new single, Love Made Me Do It, the star appeared to be sporting a much fuller face than usual.
And her appearance in the video for the track sparked a slew of similar speculation, with many asking, "What has Cheryl done to her face?"
"Whatever Cheryl Cole has done to her face she needs to reverse ASAP she was absolutely stunning in the first place she didn’t need to do anything," one tweeted.
While another asked, "Anyone else think Cheryl’s face looks odd in the new video or just me?!"
The promo then disappeared, with YouTube viewers told it had been ‘removed by the user’.
And online chatter then immediately turned to whether or not she’d removed it because of the criticism.
"So after all the negative feedback about Cheryl’s face she’s deleted the Lovemademedoit video," claimed one.
However, it appears to have been nothing more than a technical glitch, with the video soon back up and running.
And Cheryl then took to social media to offer an explanation for her appearance, insisting she still had a ‘pillow crease on my face’.
"Guess that’s what happens when you go to sleep at 2 and wake up at 5:30," she wrote, referencing her early-morning wake-up call for the breakfast show.
"Thanks everyone who joined me. Love you all"
Mirror Online has contacted Cheryl’s rep for further comment.
