This March seems like a packed one at the movies. We have Luka Chuppi, Sonchiriya, Badla and Kesari, exciting films in different genres. The team of Kesari has been sharing glimpses from the movie. The latest one is of Akshay Kumar where he is seen holding a sword in his hand. He plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh who led a troop of 21 men to defeat 10,000 Afghans who were attacking the Northwest Frontier. The battle is considered as one of the biggest military operations under the British regime and the bravery of the Sikh regiment is commemorated by the Indian Army till date as the Saragarhi Day. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra as Akshay Kumar’s wife.
The superstar is very excited about Kesari. The film is directed by Anurag Singh. Last year at the trailer launch of Nanak Shah Fakir Kumar spoke about how wearing the turban for the film filled him with pride. Last year, the actor had a patriotic drama with Gold and this time it is Kesari. Parineeti Chopra told IANS, “I really wanted to work with Akshay Sir from a really long time. I think this is the perfect film because he is Punjabi and he feels for the subject that the movie is based on. It’s going to be a mammoth film, so I am very excited to start shooting of Kesari.” Stay tuned to BL for more updates!
