Comic Relief legend Lenny Henry sent his love to Louis Tomlinson after the singer pulled out of his appearance on the show in the aftermath of his sister’s shock death.
The One Direction star was due to sing on the telethon, but pulled out following the tragic loss of his sister Félicité Tomlinson.
Lenny said: "We want to mention that a special member of Comic Relief family, Louis Tomlinson wanted to be on this stage.
"The love and best wishes of all at Comic Relief go out to Louis at this tragic time."
It was expected Louis, 27, would perform new single Two Of Us which was written about his mother Johannah, who died from leukaemia in 2016.
Félicité was found at her London home after suffering a suspected heart attack.
Two ambulance crews battled to save her life but despite their efforts to resuscitate Félicité with a heart massage, she was pronounced dead at the scene;
Her death been treated as "unexplained" with post-mortem and toxicology tests to be carried out.
It’s another devastating family blow for X Factor judge Louis, coming just two years after death of his mother, Johannah Deakin, from leukemia.
The 27-year-old cancelled all his planned promos, including his appearance on Comic Relief tonight, as he grieves with his family.
A source told The Sun: "He has cancelled all promo, which includes his performance on Comic Relief this week.
“It’s just the biggest tragedy and everyone wants to be there for Louis, who is the leader of his family since the loss of his mother and always there for all his siblings," the source told The Sun.
After her sudden death on Wednesday, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 12.52pm on Wednesday, March 13 to a residential address in SW5 following reports of a female in cardiac arrest.
"At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. Enquiries continue."
