Police are investigating rapper Remy Ma for an alleged assault after a “Love & Hip Hop” star claimed hip hop star slugged her during an event at Irving Plaza, police sources told The Post.
Brittney Taylor told police that the Bronx rapper, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, punched her in the right eye at about 9:30 p.m. at the venue near Union Square, the sources said.
Ma has not been arrested or charged with a crime, law-enforcement sources said.
Taylor, a personality on the show “Love & Hip Hop: New York” and an up-and-coming rapper herself, went to Mount Sinai Hospital to be treated after the alleged assault.
She reported the crime at the 13th Precinct station house the next night, the sources said, adding that police were at the event on Tuesday, but Taylor didn’t report it that night because she may have been embarrassed.
Ma was slated to perform at the event on Tuesday night, which was billed as the “Pretty Lou Benefit Concert.”
She previously served six years in jail for shooting a friend in 2007 in a dispute over cash.
