Coronation Street’s Peter makes desperate bid to find Carla after worrying news

Coronation Street’s Peter Barlow remains concerned for Carla Connor next week, as she’s still missing after fleeing the Street.

After the factory roof collapse claimed the life of Rana Habeeb, Carla found herself blamed after she knew the roof was damaged.

Growing paranoid, following the news that the character would suffer a mental breakdown in the aftermath, Carla began fearing for her life, accusing those around her of stalking her.

After Peter took her to the medical centre, fearing for her mental health and what she might do, he was left worried when Carla did a runner.

Next week on the ITV soap, Carla remains missing with Peter doing what he can to track her down.

Son Simon Barlow tries to help his dad, and suggests uploading a photo of her onto social media with the hashtag #findCarla.

While sceptical he agrees, and he’s stunned when he receives a notification from someone claiming they’ve seen her.

The mystery man, who once lived on Carla’s old estate, wants cash in return, with Peter willing to oblige to find her.

Later on in the week, the police come knocking as they bring more hopeful news to Peter and the Connors.

They reveal Carla has withdrawn money from an ATM using her bank card, while she was also spotted near a squat in the area.

Peter heads there with Johnny and ends up getting heavy with one of the squatters, before giving him his phone number.

It all gets to much for him though, as he begins to crumble under the weight of his despair.

As Carla remains missing, Simon jumps in to help his dad in his time of need, but can they find her?

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
