Kimnicholls16 said to Amanda online: “Really looking forward to this new series but what episode 8 of the last series? We still haven’t seen that yet.”(sic)

Amanda hastily replied, letting fans know they were not missing out on any new content.

She said to her 171,000 followers: “The new series starts with this episode!

“I will explain as the week goes on why this particular episode is so very special.”

Our Yorkshire Farm fanatics lept to the comments to discuss the “special” instalment.

MILLIE1746 said: “So looking forward to it! It will bring light relief from the rubbish we are viewing lately.”

PamelasPatch1 added: “That is really great news, thanks for the advance warning.

“Clear the diary, the Owens are back at last.”

Fans and Amanda were replying to a Channel 5 teaser that the shepherdess had retweeted.

In the trailer, the struggles the Owen family faced last winter are demonstrated.

The harsh winters hit Ravenseat Farm in 2020, with miles of thick snow shown.

Amanda lives at the Swaledale holding with her husband Clive and their brood.

The latest series will kick off as the farm buckles down for the second coronavirus lockdown, which took place last winter.

From the trailer, it seems there will be a closer look at the their struggles, and the tough tasks they have to handle in the bitter cold.

It teased of “new adventures, new beginnings and new surprises”, leaving fans on the edge of their seats until its release.

The weather conditions led the family to purchase new equipment to tackle the bitter conditions.

A tweet Amanda sent yesterday, detailed the new challenges the family will face in the new season.

She said: “You’ll be seeing how life becomes difficult when the winter bites.

“Sub zero temperatures, heavy snowfall & blizzards strike.”

Our Yorkshire Farm returns to our screens on Channel 5 on October 5.
