Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter and producer Brandi Carlile‘s memoir, “Broken Horses,” is set to come out in April 2021.
The book’s publisher Crown described the memoir as an “evocative and piercingly honest” journey through the life that has shaped Carlile’s “very raw art.”
Carlile will write about her “dysfunctional but loving family,” her years of “sleepless tours” and her collaborations with everyone from Elton John to Tanya Tucker, according to the publisher.
Carlile said she also penned a number of songs during the book-writing process, which will take shape as the follow-up to her Grammy-winning album By the Way, I Forgive You.
Carlile announced the book on Twitter. “‘Broken Horses’ is available for preorder now! There are a limited number of signed copies. Head to http://brandicarlile.com/book to go get them,” she wrote.
In an accompanying video, Carlile explains about the book, holding a copy of it in her hands.
