Brandi Carlile‘s latest album In These Silent Days has debuted atop Billboard‘s Top Rock Albums and Americana/Folk Albums charts dated October 16.
In These Silent Days, released on October 1, earned 36,000 equivalent album units in the week ending October 7, as per MRC Data. This includes 32,000 units earned via album sales.
This is Carlile’s third No. 1 on Top Rock Albums, making her the biggest winner among solo woman in the chart’s 15-year history. Her other records that achieved this feat are The Firewatcher’s Daughter (2015) and By the Way, I Forgive You (2018).
She also leads among women artists who have won the most top ranks on the Americana/Folk Albums chart by claiming her fifth No. 1.
And among all genders, the multi-genre singer-songwriter stands second only to Bob Dylan.
The songs on her seventh studio album were written by Carlile while quarantining during the pandemic last year. The album was produced by Dave Cobb and Shooter Jennings.
