Charlotte Dawson has given birth to her first child, her fiancé has confirmed.

The 28 year old has welcomed a baby boy with her rugby player fiancé Matt Sarsfield, 29, with him confirming the news on Instagram.

After sharing images of Charlotte in labour, Matt wrote to his followers: "Baby and mum doing well! Thanks for all messages," alongside a blue love heart emoji.

Back in October of last year, the Ex On The Beach star exclusively told OK! online that she thought she was pregnant with the "reincarnation" of her late comedian dad Les Dawson, who would have turned 90 on 2 February.

She told us: "I think my dad would be overwhelmed, so happy for me that I've found someone that can put up with me, and obviously we're having a beautiful baby boy.

"It's due literally exactly a week before my dad 90th birthday. It's really weird, I can't believe I actually got pregnant around that time.

"If I'm literally a week later, that's my dad's birthday. Obviously I'm having a boy which is even spookier, he might be my dad reincarnated, he could literally come out of the womb gurning."

She also teased that she would pay tribute to the comedian, whose experience of working in a Parisian brothel was aired in a new documentary during Charlotte's pregnancy, in the name of her son.

Charlotte continued: "It's definitely up in the air what we're going to name him but we're thinking about it all the time, coming up with name ideas and all that.

"Whether to keep the Dawson name or to have Les or Lesley in the name so whatever it's going to be, don't worry, there's going to be some tribute to my dad."

Charlotte also emotionally revealed the advice she thinks Les would give her fiancé Matt as he prepares to become a first time dad.

She said: "He'd probably say don't take it too seriously or something, just enjoy life.

"He had no regrets, he didn't take anything too seriously like me, he'd probably just say to enjoy being a dad because life's short at the end of the day, so just enjoy it."

Despite her smiley appearance on social media, Charlotte emotionally revealed during her pregnancy that she had been targeted by trolls.

She wrote to her one million followers back in September: "Just got engaged with the most stunning ring from my love of my life & growing a little prince in my chunkeh but funkeh belleh… but it’s not all smiles, especially the nasty unnecessary comments on here [sic].
