Eastenders’ Adam Woodyatt turned ITV viewers’ heads as he appeared on Lorraine on Tuesday morning.

Adam was on the show discussing his venture back to theatre during his ten-month break from the BBC soap playing Ian Beale. Now the longest running cast member of the show after first appearing as the character in 1985, a break was much needed for the actor.

It seems that time away has done Adam good, viewers noticed as he spoke to Lorraine, not only with the prospects of his career – but with his appearance also.

"@lorraine how fab does @AdamWoodyatt look well done Adam," commented a fan on Twitter.

"@AdamWoodyatt Flippin heck you look amazing on Lorraine! At least 10 years younger and so healthy. Well done, and good luck with the play", another said.

"Oh my God for a moment there I fancied Ian Beale. Adam Woodyatt looking good these days. #lorraine," said one other fan, while another simply wrote: "Adam Woodyatt gets better looking with age #Lorraine."

The Eastenders actor certainly looks to be taking care of himself, appearing trim with a short haircut and full beard – perhaps in relation to his current role on the road.

Adam has been touring the UK as he stars in the theatre production of Looking Good Dead, of which Emmerdale actress Gaynor Faye also is featuring in.

When asked by Lorraine whether or not he is eager to return back to his “day job” after what has been a fruitful extended break, the actor was clearly hesitant to let go of being on the theatre stage for the moment.

“It’s going to be quite a while because the tours going to at least next April,” he answered. “We’ve just decided to a second leg from next January through to April, so we have a load of venues to do which is going to be great.”

The Walthamstow-born star has gone through drastic personal changes in the past year, after separating from his wife of 22 years back in early 2020.

Adam continues to travel across country for his theatre commitments, journeying in his motorhome instead of staying hotels with the rest of his cast mates.

Last seen exiting Eastenders as a dishevelled Ian following Sharon's murder attempt on him, only time will tell if actor Adam is ready to return the Square.
