Former EastEnders star Melissa Suffield has shared a stunning selfie of her body after giving birth to her baby.

Proudly showing off her stretch marks and wobbly bits, the BBC soap star, who played Ian Beale’s daughter Lucy Beale, opened up on how she feels about her body post-pregnancy.

Alongside a snap of her standing in profile, the 28 year old captioned her post: “This is my belly. It doesn’t look how It used to look."

Melissa gave birth to her baby River in March this year.

The star continued: "First it was quite a bit smaller and smoother, and then it grew my best mate.

"Isn’t that so f***ing cool? I bet your bellies are pretty f**ing cool too, whether they grew stuff or not.”

“Aren’t bodies wicked? All so different and weird and wonderful – and very powerful," Melissa went on.

"We’re all so ridiculously beautiful, aren’t we?"

Fans flocked to the comments to share their support for the honest star.

“love this so much. Our bodies are amazing,” one person wrote.

Another fan loved Melissa’s perspective on her body’s stretch marks, saying: “I love that 'it grew my best mate' I'm using that more often.

“It's such a beautiful way of looking at it.”

A third thanked the actress for her positive post, and a fourth shared: “Love this. I used to really dislike my c section 'ledge'… but my second one saved my baby and me so I've learnt to appreciate it.

“Because without it I wouldn't have my son. Your right our bellies are bloody cool x.”

“Love this so much! We’re pretty bloody amazing humans, aren’t we?!” another person added.
