Gemma Collins says she ‘can’t get pregnant’ and heartbreakingly asks ‘why me?’

Gemma Collins has spoken of her struggles to conceive a baby with her boyfriend, Rami Hawash.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star has revealed that she is now exploring the possibility of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) because she "can't get pregnant".

Speaking candidly about her longing for motherhood, the 40 year old said on the Love Lounge instalment of her The Gemma Collins Podcast: "I really want a baby now, I've not been using any contraception.

"I can't get pregnant, so I'm gonna have to be brave now and look into this myself," the reality star said of her plans to research IVF.

Admitting that her struggles to get pregnant made her feel down at times, Gemma said: "It feels like sometimes – when's it gonna happen? Why me?"

The topic of conversation began when a fan emailed Gemma's podcast to ask for some advice after finding herself in a similar position of being unable to conceive.

The bubbly blonde reassured the woman that having a baby was still an option for her.

"IVF is not a bad thing, honey. Don't worry. You can get it and lots of people conceive on IVF," she said.

Gemma added: "There's always someone out there with a bigger, worse situation than you. Just go with the flow of life."

The GC got back together with her former flame Rami in April this year. The pair were previously engaged in 2013.

Gemma suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome and has tragically miscarried in the past.

She is now hoping to start a family with her 46 year old boyfriend and has even revealed plans to document the process for television.

Speaking to The Sun in August, Gemma said: "I'm going to have a baby next year. Rami and I are going to try — we're really excited about that."

She added: "It's not so easy for me to get pregnant because of PCOS, so we're going to make a show about that called Gemma Collins: Making the Baby.

"My agent is in negotiations. I'm ready for a baby now and I can't wait to be a mum."

Gemma was previously in a romance with her former TOWIE co-star James "Arg" Argent.
