Talk about adding insult to injury: One year after Kylie Jenner sent Snapchat’s stock tumbling with a single tweet, the beauty mogul has snagged her own custom filter on Instagram, the company’s chief competitor.
Jenner’s followers can now open the app’s front-facing camera and take seven of Kylie Cosmetics’ most popular Lip Kit shades — Candy K, Dolce, Posie K, Say No More, Shady, Boy Bye and Glitz — for a virtual test drive.
And since Jenner, 20, never just wears lip color, the star’s filter will also add false lashes, contouring and a softly flattering blur to Instagrammers’ faces.
Since the almost billionaire‘s beauty products are sold exclusively online (with the exception of being stocked at her traveling pop-up shops), the filter should prove useful for those wishing to try out a shade before purchasing.
And seeing as Jenner recently became Instagram’s top earner, with each of her posts valued at $1 million, perhaps it’s only natural she’d want to further align herself with the photo-sharing platform.
