Olivia Wilde claims ex Jason Sudeikis doesn’t pay child support despite his ‘significantly superior’ income and requests he foots her $500k legal fees
Olivia Wilde has accused Jason Sudeikis of leaving her to pay for 100% of the costs of their children’s care when they are with her, despite his ‘significantly superior’ income.
The TRON star has filed a formal request for child support from the Ted Lasso actor, 47, to help fund the day-to-day needs of Otis, eight, and Daisy, six, as she claimed they have yet to agree on an interim arrangement while the details of their custody issues are settled.
In documents obtained by The Blast, she wrote: ‘Jason is not currently paying child support to me, despite my requests through counsel that we agree upon an interim support amount to avoid further litigation in this matter.
‘While Jason and I have been splitting certain expenses for the children, such as their school tuition, I have been bearing 100% of the costs of the children’s care when they are with me, including, but not limited to, their food, clothing, childcare, extracurricular activities, and transportation costs.
‘I am asking the Court to make an order regarding child support so that I can adequately provide for our children commensurate with Jason’s standard of living.’

Olivia also asked for Jason to be forced to pay her attorney’s fees of $500,000 not only because he is a higher earner, but because of his ‘egregious, unnecessary, and aggressive conduct’.
She wrote: ‘I am also asking that Jason make a contribution to my attorney and accountant fees and costs, not only due to him being in a significantly superior position than me financially, but because the vast majority of the fees I have incurred have been due to Jason and his counsel’s egregious, unnecessary, and aggressive conduct.
‘While I have yet to receive specific financial information from Jason, my understanding and belief is that he is wealthier than I am and has far greater income. I have no reason to believe that Jason would dispute this.’
The Blast reports that Olivia told the court she made over $40,000 a month in salary, including another $60,000 from Wilde Company income and rental property income. Also, she has $645,187 in bank accounts and over $107,000 in in other assets.
But, Olivia has said she has over $107,000 in monthly expenses.
MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Jason Sudeikis for comment.
Despite what is going on behind the scenes, Olivia and Jason seemed more comfortable around each other when they reunited to attend their son’s soccer game in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The actress-turned-filmmaker and the former Saturday Night Live star both beamed as they cheered on their son Otis from the sidelines.

The exes, whose split was reported in November of 2020, both appeared friendly with each other, and they were seen sharing the affections of their daughter Daisy.
Jason even brought a friend along for the youth game, his Ted Lasso costar Brendan Hunt, who co-created the series with him and plays his sidekick Coach Beard on the show.
The friendly display comes after Wilde appeared to plead poverty in court filings last week, despite being worth more than $10 million, as she claimed that Sudeikis is prolonging his court fight with her because he is trying to ‘litigate her into debt.’
It was noted that she spends $107,000 a month, including nearly $4,000 on laundry and cleaning, a mortgage of more than $58,000 and a whopping $6,500 on utilities such as gas, water and electricity.

Her total assets stand at $10,569,736, she revealed in a declaration of income and expenses included in her childcare battle with Sudeikis.
The revelation came on the day that she and Sudeikis had been due to face off in court in Los Angeles. The hearing was taken off the docket at the last minute.
In her declaration filed with Los Angeles Superior Court, Wilde said she has $645,187 in bank accounts, $3,902,689 in stocks and bonds and $6,021,860 in real estate and other property – meaning her total worth is $10,569,736.
Wilde said her monthly income is $71,667.
While Jason can allegedly afford to spin his wheels with filing after filing, ‘Olivia cannot,’ her lawyers wrote in advance of a hearing scheduled in Los Angeles for today, which has now been canceled.
‘Jason seems intent on throwing whatever he can against the wall to see what will stick, and this Request for Order seeking a stay of the California Parentage action is just the latest example,’ they add.
She accused him of being ‘underhanded’ and acting ‘in bad faith’ over the future of their two children.
The recent hearing was scheduled to be over whether California courts should determine the warring couple’s fight over the children, Otis and Daisy, or whether New York is the appropriate venue. But a judge in New York rejected Sudeikis’s request for a second time to have the case moved to the east coast.
Olivia says the matter has already been settled and it should be in LA, but her ex is ‘obfuscating’ in his bid to have future hearings held in Brooklyn. Awards of child support in New York are typically lower than they are in California.

‘Jason should not be permitted to litigate Olivia into debt, and then claim she should be deprived of her right to seek a needs-based fee contribution from him,’ her attorneys wrote.
The drama between the exes during their legal battle has seeped out into public view multiple times, including when she was infamously served with custody papers while onstage at CinemaCon last April.
Wilde called the incident ‘an attack on her workplace’, but said she was not surprised at it happening because there was a ‘reason’ she left her relationship with Sudeikis.
In court documents obtained by DailyMail.com, she argued that the decision to serve her onstage in front of an audience was a bid to ‘threaten’ and ’embarrass’ her.
Sudeikis filed suit against his ex in New York City Family Court in October 2021, and the dispute has largely revolved around where the children would live.
While he wanted them to live in Brooklyn, Wilde was hoping to have them stay in Los Angeles and possibly relocate to London, where her then-boyfriend Harry Styles was living.
In a legal filing signed August 5 last year, a judge ruled ‘New York was not the home state of the subject children’ and that rather ‘California was the children’s home state.’
‘Therefore, for the reasons stated on the record on July 15, 2022, respondent’s motion to dismiss the custody petitions filed on October 21, 2021 is granted,’ the filing, which was reviewed by Page Six, stated.
The court determined that ‘New York does not have jurisdiction to hear the custody petitions’ because it is not Otis and Daisy’s home state.
Wilde filed a petition to ‘determine parental relationship in Superior Court of California, in LA’ in May, the filing noted. Her legal team moved to legally dismiss Sudeikis’ custody case on May 18.
Experts alleged at the time that the custody battle was likely to proceed in California.
In Wilde’s motion to dismiss Sudeikis’ suit, the actress claimed she and he had initially agreed to send their kids back to school in Los Angeles for the upcoming school year because Sudeikis was due to wrap up the final season of Apple TV series Ted Lasso, which had required him to be in London.
‘Recently, however, Jason decided that he wanted to go to New York for the next year while he is not working, and wanted the children to be with him there during this time off,’ the actress said in the filing. ‘When I did not agree, since the children have not lived in New York for several years, Jason filed these papers.’
Olivia and Jason were in relationship from 2011. He proposed a year later but they never married.
They announced their split at the end of 2020 – revealing they secretly broke off their engagement at the start of the year.
