Pale Waves Announce New Album ‘Unwanted,’ Share Lead Single ‘Lies’

Pale Waves have announced the release of their third studio album, Unwanted, on August 12 via Dirty Hit.

The quartet also released the album’s first single, “Lies,” and an accompanying music video.

Unwanted is a follow-up to the English indie rock band’s second album, Who Am I?, released in February 2021.

Speaking about the new song, Heather Baron-Gracie said, “‘Lies’ is about someone who built up my trust and destroyed it like a wrecking ball. It caused trust issues for myself, but fortunately for me that person is no longer in my life. Once you do me wrong, you’re gone!”

She described the album as “bold and unapologetic.” “And that’s what the Pale Waves community is about. We don’t need to fit a perfect mould, we don’t need to apologise for being ourselves, and we won’t change for anyone. That acceptance is what connects us,” added the Pale Waves lead singer.
