Piers Morgan has detailed what happened when he was asked to go for a walk with Simon Cowell. The Good Morning Britain host found himself being called out by an older female, while alongside the reality show mogul.

Speaking in his latest column, the 55-year-old said he and The X Factor judge, 61, got plenty of looks and some people approaching them during their 7.5 mile outing around West Kensington, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens on Tuesday.

However, the father-of-four was called out by one GMB viewer, for his remarks about Meghan Markle.

The “annoyed” fan in question branded him “naughty” but chuckled as she spoke to him and Simon.

Recalling what happened, Piers repeated the conversation, which his famous companion also got involved in.

“‘You annoyed me so much with what you said about Meghan this morning!’ an elderly lady scolded me,” he stated.

“‘You’re laughing as you say that, though,’ observed Simon,” the outspoken journalist continued.

“‘Yes!’ she chuckled. ‘Piers is naughty, but I like him… apart from this morning!'”

Piers went on to say others they encountered were “a bit weird”, which saw Simon explains his reason for quitting Twitter.

The broadcaster went on: “‘Oh my God, oh my God, OH MY GOD!’ cried another woman when she saw us, genuflecting in jubilant exultation. ‘Both my favourite men together! This is a sign from God!’

“Generally, everyone we encountered was very nice.”

“‘This is why I don’t use Twitter any more,’ said Simon. ‘Most people in the real world are friendly.

“‘But on social media, you just get endless abuse. I don’t need all that toxicity in my head’,” Piers also stated to the Daily Mail.

The star said he was shocked to see how “skinny” Simon was, after changing his lifestyle and breaking his back last year.

The pair spoke about his motorcycle accident, with him admitting he knew he was in “serious trouble”.

However, Piers was left with blood blisters after the lenghty trip.

But said it was “the best conversation we’ve ever had”, to his wife Celia Walden.

Piers and Simon worked together on Britain’s Got Talent, with the former being a part of the judging line-up for the first four runs.

Simon has featured in every series and so has current star Amanda Holden.

Michael McIntyre filled Piers’ seat for one season, when he was also joined by David Hasselhoff.

Alesha Sixon and David Walliams later took over and have been regulars ever since season six.
