Netflix viewers have flooded Twitter with complaints, with some blasting the new and explosive Harry & Meghan documentary as "poisonous".
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's bombshell docuseries landed on the steaming service today with the first episode telling all about the impact of Harry's childhood in the public eye.
Making his Netflix debut, Harry said: "My job is to keep my family safe.
"But the nature of being born into this position, amid everything else that comes with it and the level of hate being stirred up in the last three years, especially against my wife and my son.
"I'm generally concerned for the safety of my family."
"I just really want to get to the other side of all of this."
However, some viewers didn't appear to sympathise with his plight.
One wrote: "Harry & Meghan – Where is all this poison coming from? Why is Harry so intent on attacking his own flesh and blood? Is it resentment, jealousy, a strong desire to be number one, not the spare? Or is it mainly the influence of Meghan?"
Another added: "I love my family- we fall out, we get cross, we have disputes, but never in a million years would I make a multi-part documentary slagging them off for cash. Harry & Meghan are truly cheap."
While a third addressed Meghan, writing: "You are a duchess, you are a millionaire, you are insanely privileged. You are not oppressed. You live a much better life that the Brits you trash and who you claim oppress you. Get over yourself."
Elsewhere in the first episode, viewers heard how Harry and Meghan met one another via a mutual friend on Instagram, after it was previously believed that they met after being set up on a blind date.
Harry explained how he first happened across a picture of his future wife Meghan on a friend's Instagram, where she could be seen in a clip with the dog ear filter.
Harry said: "That was the first thing, I was like, 'Who is that?'."
He revealed: "Meghan and I met over Instagram. I was scrolling through my feed and someone who was a friend had a video of the two of them, it was like Snapchat."
Meghan explained how she was happily single and was intending on having a "hot girl summer", until a "plot twist" came in the form of Harry.
"I was really intent on being single and having fun girl time," admits Meghan. "I had a career, I had my life. I had a path. And then came H [Harry]. Talk about plot twist."
The loved-up couple even shared some of the first messages they exchanged before finally meeting up face to face.
Harry writes: "So come on – what u doing tomorrow night? Hope you're having fun over there!"
Meghan replies: "Heading back to soho. I have a dinner tomorrow at 8 but can do drinks tomorrow night. Would that work? Maybe 6?"
An enthralled Harry sends back: "You're ON!"
Elsewhere in the documentary,Meghan revealed that Harry was half an hour late for their first date , leaving her unimpressed and assuming he had an "ego".
She said: "He kept texting 'I'm in traffic, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry'", as Harry chimed in that he was "panicking, freaking out and sweating".
Meghan said: "Then, I didn't know him, so I was like 'oh is this what he does? Got it. Like this I'm not doing. I'm not going to sit and wait."
As Harry asked her, giggling: "What is that supposed to mean?", as Meghan said: "Like, one of those guys who has that much of an ego that any girl would sit around and wait a half hour for you.
"I was just not interested in that."
Harry described how he walked in to the room (half an hour late) "a hot, sweaty, red ball of a mess", as a giggling Meghan could be heard saying: "You were so sweet."
His clear discomfort obviously changed Meghan's initial thoughts about his ego, as she said: "You were genuinely so embarrassed you were late."
