The Saturdays star Una Healy has said that she won’t be applying to the new series of grown-up Love Island as its requirements are “unfair”.
The singer, 41, recently made headlines for being part of a rumoured ‘throuple’ with boxer David Haye and model Sian Osborne.
Despite recently confirming that she’s single, Una took to Instagram to comment on the new series of so-called ‘middle aged’ Love Island – and said she won’t be applying.
ITV recently announced that Davina McCall will be hosting a Love Island-style show called The Romance Retreat, which will see single parents, nominated by their children, to go on the show to find love.
Sharing a screenshot of an article about the show, Una commented: “So anyone ‘middle aged’ without kids can’t apply? This is very unfair in my eyes… either way… I won’t be applying.”
Una shares two children – eleven year old daughter Aoife and eight year old son Tadhg – with her ex-husband, rugby player Ben Foden, 37, who she split from in 2018.
Una's most recent romantic involvement hit the headlines in the New Year, as she appeared to have entered into a 'throuple' with David and his girlfriend, Sian.
Rumours of the throuple started at the beginning of the year when David, who was previously married to Natasha Haye, celebrated the New Year with a trip to Marrakesh, Morocco, with Sian and Una.
David then appeared to confirm he was in a relationship with both Una and Siân as he gushed over them in a Valentine’s Day post.
He wrote on Instagram: “Happy Valentine’s Day to the beautiful Queens in my life, making my world a better place to live in!”
David – who has been in a relationship with Sian since 2020 – previously addressed claims the three of them were romantically involved by saying in January: “I like to keep my private life private. I let people in through my social media a little bit, but what I do behind closed doors is between me and the girls involved.”
Following the announcement of The Romance Retreat – which doesn’t yet have an official air date – host Davina gave an insight into what the show will be about and how hopefuls can apply.
Former Big Brother presenter Davina was clearly thrilled at her new role as took to Instagram to confirm the news where she gushed about the new show.
She wrote: "Omg.. i manifested and it came true!! I’ll be hosting a brand NEW grown up dating series for ITV1!!
"This is a show for single parents who have lived a life , have stories to tell about their dating pasts and deserve another chance at love and I’m gonna help you.
Davina continued: "It will all take place in the most romantic countryside location!!
"We are still casting so if u want my help finding love and u have a child who is over 18 , what are you waiting for ??? ( particularly u eligible men .. where are you ?! ) Sign up here itv.com/beontv It’s going to be AMAZING !! x."
