Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has stated that the government will take up construction of towers in tribal areas in a big way under the Giri Seva-Giri Net programme for fiber connectivity. At a review meeting on ‘welfare’ at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Mr. Naidu said as many as 100 towers would be constructed before August 15, and another 220 by October. The government also accorded permission for construction of multi-purpose indoor stadia at a cost of Rs. 120 crore.
