Krishna Collector B. Lakshmikantam on Monday said at least 60,000 houses would be built in the urban pockets in Krishna district in three categories.
Releasing a poster on the urban housing scheme, Mr. Lakshmikatnam directed the officials to create awareness on the benefits of the scheme, through which the State government offered a subsidy ranging from Rs. 2.85 lakh to Rs. 3.15 lakh to beneficiaries.
The houses would be built in three categories: 300 sq.ft, 365 sq.ft and 430 sq.ft.
Addressing the officials, Mr. Lakshmikatnam said that grievances that could be addressed on the spot should be cleared immediately.
The Collector cleared at least 15 grievances on the spot during the grievance cell programme on Monday.
