Andhra Bank to go digital soon

Andhra Bank General Manager V. Venkateswar Rao said the bank will soon provide different digital products to customers by developing a special application, AB Tej.

Presiding over an awareness camp on bank products here on Saturday, he said that the bank will organise similar camps for the benefit of customers all over India.

Through AB Tej, account holders can send money to any account holder of any bank, he said. The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store, he said.

Bank Deputy General Manager P.V.V. Satyanarayana said that no bank asks customers their account details, ATM or credit card number or PIN details either on phone or SMS — therefore customers should be alert, he said.

He also said that customers, without going to banks, through their mobile phones can link their account number and get the information of outstanding amount details by calling: 9223011300. Missed call would be enough to get the information in the form of SMS, he added.

Earlier, the GM inaugurated the mobile coin mela held at Andhra Bank Hyderabad road branch.

Assistant GM K. Haribabu and others were present.
