The district unit of the BJP is going all out to make a success of the Jana Chaitanya Yatra undertaken by state unit president K Laxman, scheduled to reach here on July 5.
Warangal Urban district unit president R. Padma Reddy on Tuesday inspected the Kakatiya Degree College grounds near Hanamkonda bus stand where the party plans to hold a massive public meeting. On July 6 the party leaders would meet at a private function hall and see off Mr. K Laxman who would be proceeding to Suryapet.
She said the yatra was getting good public response across the State. It was intended to expose the failures of the TRS government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. The Chief Minister has been claiming credit for the Central funds and schemes while contributing nothing from the State government.
“We will tell people during our yatra all these and much more. We will tell people how the BJP was instrumental in formation of separate Telangana,” she said and urged people to turn up in large numbers to the public meeting and make it a grand success.
As many as 17 committees were constituted to oversee arrangements for the Jana Chaitanya Yatra and the public meeting.
