To get back at a woman passenger with whom he had an altercation over fare on July 8, a cab-driver scribbled the contact number and name of a woman passenger he had ferried, on the wall of a public toilet.
“The victim received multiple calls from strangers for over two days. She was traumatised and approached police. The driver was then booked by the SHE team of Cyberabad Police,” a cop said.
Cyberabad Police said 47 cases were registered between July 1 and July 15 against offenders caught by SHE Teams. Among those cases, police also booked a karate master for allegedly showing pornographic content to one of his students and touching her inappropriately.
A 33-year-old man was found murdered in Attapur early on Wednesday. Police suspect the involvement of two persons who owe money to the deceased, Khaleed. Rajendranagar Police Station House Officer G. Suresh said the murder is suspected to have taken place late on Tuesday.
“Dastagir and Khaja, who had borrowed Rs. 6 lakh from Khaleed, are absconding. For the past few days, Khaleed was pursuing them to get his money back,” the official said, adding Khaleed had returned to India four years ago from the U.K.
