Centac releases draft merit list for admission

The draft merit list for MBBS/BDS/BAMS and B.A./LLB degree courses in respect of government quota and All India quota (management quota), including for the Union Territory of Puducherry students, was published on Saturday.

In a press release, Centac Coordinator (Admissions) P.T. Rudra Goud said the list was available on the website –www.centaconline.in.

“The merit list has been prepared based on the cut-off prescribed in NEET 2018. (119 for General category and 96 for other categories including PH).

“The number of eligible candidates include – 1,452 (Puducherry candidates) and 7,993 of All India category in MBBS/BDS/BAMS. Nearly 972 students from Puducherry and 397 under All India category for B.A.LLB,” he said.

The Centac Coordinator has said that some of the candidates had claimed domicile in Puducherry, but had not produced the requisite residence certificates. Those candidates have been considered under All India quota.

Category-wise list

The category wise (SC/OBC/MBC/EBC/BCM/FF) lists have been published. Similarly, the lists of eligible candidates special category wise (disabled, freedom fighter, and ex-servicemen) have also been published. There are no Backward Tribes candidates this year.

“For meritorious sportspersons, a separate list will be published.

“Objections may be submitted before 5 p.m. on July 1 to Centac.

“Objections can also be sent by email –[email protected] Objections received after the prescribed time will be summarily rejected. SMS or email is sent to the students to check the website for details,” he said in the press release.
