Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wrote to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday, urging him to approve the change of scope II (COS II) proposals relating to the Kanaka Durga flyover.
Mr. Naidu, in his letter which he handed over personally to the Union Minister at the Polavaram project site, said that there was a good progress in works on the Kanaka Durga flyover project.
‘Pace will pick up’
The works were being monitored by the CMO duly extending all support required from the State government.
The Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department has submitted the COS II proposals for an sum of Rs. 19,.068 crore to the Union Ministry. It was very much essential keeping in view of the site location and safe completion of the project.
Hence, the COS II proposals may be approved as part of the project.
The extension of time proposals were submitted to the Union Ministry up to September 30, 2018. It would facilitate contract firm M/s Soma Enterprises to get all eligible payments and to execute the work at a faster pace, he said.
