Collector S. Prabhakar has expressed regret over his comments that he made during the monthly grievance redress day meeting on June 29 and assured that such incidents will be avoided in the future. In a press release issued here on Sunday, he said that a farmer had pointed out that government officials are delaying to redress their grievances that were made during the meeting. Hence, the Collector had asked the officials to act swiftly and solve their grievance before the next meeting. Also, he said that if the officials failed to perform their duty all should wear sari and come to the office.
The release said that the comments were made out of frustration over the officials’ failure to solve the problems of the farmer and is not intentional.
