Congress president Rahul Gandhi has reconstituted the North-East Coordination Congress Committee (NECCC), with former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as its patron. Mukul Sangma has been appointed its chairman. “The NECCC will coordinate the activities of the PCCs in north-east to strengthen the party in the region,” said a press release.
