‘Don’t stop medical counselling’

O.C. Welfare Association president B. Karunakar Reddy opposed the State’s purported decision of temporarily stalling medical counselling by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.

Mr. Reddy said that as per the guidelines of the High Court, counselling should be continued and stopping it for candidates with reservation should be treated as contempt of court. He said the High Court had suspended the G.O. No. 550 and clarified that all the seats in open category must be filled based on merit. He said many aspirants couldn’t get seats due to implementation of the order.
