The Transport Department in collaboration with NTPC Simhadri has constructed a scientific driving tests track at its Regional Transport Office, Anakapalle.
The purpose of the said scientific driving test track is to ensure that all driving licence applicants undergo proper driving tests. This will further the cause of promotion of road safety which intern would reduce road accidents. The work of construction of scientific driving tests track was executed by R&B Department, Visakhapatnam and the estimated cost for construction is Rs. 10 lakh. The amount was sanctioned under CSR programme of NTPC Simhadri.
The driving test track was inaugurated by NTPC Simhadri Group General Manager A.R. Maiti.
