The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Tuesday granted anticipatory bail to Vallabh Prakash, an accused in the case of theft of idols from Ardhanariswarar Temple in Villupuram.
Justice G.R. Swaminathan took note of the fact that Vallabh Prakash was over 87 years old and suffering from age-related ailments. Also, the charges were framed much later from the date of the theft, the court said.
