Governor inaugurates old-age home in Srikakulam

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Monday inaugurated an old-age home constructed by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) in Srikakulam.

He felicitated retired chief engineer CVN Murthy and C. Padmavati who donated their property for Ananda Nilayam in the memory of their daughter Nagajyoti. Mr. Narasimhan congratulated IRCS chairman P.Jaganmohana Rao for constructing the home on the same premises as Anuraga Nilayam, an orphanage, as that would make it homely for members of both the institutions.

Srikakulam Collector K. Dhananjaya Reddy and Joint Collector KVN Chakradhar Babu said that the district administration was cooperating with social service organisations.
