The Chirayinkeezhu police have arrested a habitual offender for alleged attempt to murder two people. The accused has been identified as Jayan, alias Auto Jayan, 38, of Kizhuvilam.
He has been accused of attacking two persons, identified as Sunu and Akhilesh of Anathalavattom, on May 25. He allegedly attacked them for having submitted a complaint against him in the past.
The accused has been involved in several cases relating to extortion, theft, murder and assault registered in the Chirayinkeezhu, Mangalapuram, Kottiyam, and Attingal police stations.
