Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) national organising secretary K. Koteswara Sarma on Saturday exhorted the VHP activists to highlight the virtues of Hindu way of life, which alone would ensure universal peace in the world ripped apart by religious fundamentalism.
Addressing a ‘monsoon meet’ of VHP south Andhra unit here, he wanted the sister organisations like Durga Vahini and Bajrang Dal to enlighten school and college students on the importance of various Hindu social practices in a bid to thwart the western cultural onslaught.
The importance of Bhagavat Gita has been understood even by the westerners of late, he said and and wanted the activists to kindle interest on Lord Krishna’s preachingby holding Gita recitation contests.
The meet attended by VHP State president N. Sai Reddy and VHP South Andhra unit president B. Ramakrishna Reddy.
