Judge leads cleanliness drive in court

Judicial officers and other staff members of the district court led by Principal District and Sessions Judge M Lakshman on Saturday conducted a cleanliness drive on the premises of the district court complex here as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission.

The members of the Bar Association of Khammam also took part in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Lakshman said consistent efforts should be made to make cleanliness a continuous endeavour to keep our surroundings including workplaces clean. Cleanliness is imperative to create healthier environment for employees to work efficiently in a conducive atmosphere, he noted.

He said cleanliness drive will be conducted in all the courts in both Khammam and Bhadradri-Kothagudem districts on the first and third Saturday of every month as per the High Court directions. A Swachh Bharat committee headed by First Additional District Judge N. Premalatha has been constituted to oversee its implementation in the court twice every month.
