New LED lights will be installed across the city soon at a cost of Rs. 1.75 crore under the Smart Cities Mission.
The lights would installed on the Ettayapuram road to the new bus stand and on the Palayamkottai road from the third mile bridge to the old bus stand.
Inspection
District Revenue Officer M. Veerappan on Tuesday inspected the place near the Kovilpatti taluk office where a new Vidya Prakasam special school would be coming up soon.
The construction for the school, to be built at a cost of Rs. 48 lakh for differently-abled children, would start soon, officials said. Tahsildar L. Paramasivan was present.
