A low pressure area has formed over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over north coastal Odisha and neighbourhood. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting south westwards with height.
Heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari and Krishna on Saturday. Under the strong monsoon conditions, strong surface winds from westerly direction, with speed reaching 50 to 55 km/hr are likely along and off south coastal AP , according to the Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC).
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along and off coastal Andhra Pradesh.
