Labour Minister Venkatramanappa has said that the people of Bhovi community should come up in life by making use of available resources and facilities extended by the government under different schemes.
Speaking after inaugurating a Bhovi community youth festival here on Wednesday, he said that the Congress-Janata Dal(S) coalition government has given representation to Bhovi community in the State Cabinet with the intention to give equal opportunity to every community. The people of the community should strive for their overall development forgetting their internal differences, he said.
Since Bhovi community has been financially and socially backward for decades, the people of the community have failed to concentrate on educating their children and ensuring them proper positions in society. Now, the State government is also extending many facilities and the Bhovi community should concentrate on educating their children, he said.
