Mission Bhagiratha has twin goals: KTR

Municipal Administration and Urban Development and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao said that the TRS government, led by K. Chandrashekar Rao, aimed at achieving the twin goals of providing irrigation water to one crore acres and safe drinking water to every household under Mission Bhagiratha by Deepavali.

To ensure employment for students and educated youth locally, it was setting up IT hubs at different districts, which would become operational in Nizamabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam and Mahabubnagar in next few months, he said. He was addressing a well-attended public meeting on the sprawling polytechnic college grounds after laying foundation for the IT hub adjacent to the integrated Collectorate building on bypass road, here on Wednesday.

Making it clear that no government in the world could be able to give jobs for all in the public sector, he said the Chief Minister, soon after formation of Telangana State, decided to decentralise industries and brought about TS I-Pass for immediate clearance for establishment of industries. Thus, Rs. 1.30 lakh crore investments have come to the State and 5.50 lakh jobs created in the last four years.

The Minister said the IT industry exports, which stood at Rs. 56,000 crore in the united AP surpassed Rs. 1 lakh crore in the State and would shortly touch Rs. 1.20 crore. The government promised to fill 1.12 lakh vacancies in different departments but created more than that, he added.
