Collector Sandeep Nanduri on Monday promulgated prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Indian Penal Code in the district in view of the 308th birth anniversary of Alagumuthu Kone on Wednesday.
The order will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 5p.m.
According to a press release, the order has been promulgated to prevent any untoward incidents and maintain law and order on the birth anniversary of the freedom fighter. Holding public meetings, rallies and offering annadanam would not be allowed.
