Religious fervour marks ‘Traimasika Metlotsavam’

The foot path leading to the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Alipiri was abuzz with activity as nearly 3,000 Dasa Paras, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, commenced their trek to Tirumala, as a part of the ‘Traimasika Metlotsavam’ in the early hours of Monday.

Spiritual fervour pervaded during the religious fete as Sri Sri Sri Vidyaprasannatheertha Swamy of Kukke Subramanya Swamy Mutt – Karnataka, in his religious discourse, recalled the holy trekking carried out by many saints, emperors and ardent devotees of Lord Venkateswara and explained the significance of walkathon along the Alipiri footpath.

After performing puja, the Dasa Paras started trekking on the Alipiri foot path route, rendering Purandhara, Kanaka, Narayana, Vijayadasa Padagalu and reached Tirumala with utmost devotion. Dasa Sahitya Project Special Officer Dr. P. Ananda Teertha Charyulu supervised the arrangements.
