Buoyed by the response for its pet project, Small and medium industries leveraging experiential tourism (SMILE), the Bekal Resorts Development Corporation (BRDC) here has decided to host yet another workshop here on July 28 to lure more entrepreneurs in tourism-related projects.
The day-long programme, scheduled to be held at Bekal, would invite entrepreneurs who had scripted success stories in tourism- related ventures to share their experience and provide guidelines to aspiring people in Kasaragod, Kannur and Vadakara taluk of Kozhikode, BRDC Managing Director T.K. Manzoor said.
The workshop is targeting those who have plans to set up homestays, budget resorts, serviced villas, farm tourism, Ayurveda centres, and houseboats.
The SMILE project, initiated barely a year ago, was envisaged to promote affordable tourism-related ventures typical of respective localities to help the tourists experience the local flavour at affordable rates rather than going in for expensive star hotel accommodations, he said.
The aspiring entrepreneurs can visit www.bekaltourism.com and apply online to attend the workshop, he added.
