The Koppal Town Police arrested two persons on the charge of chain-snatching and three others on the charge of receiving stolen property, recently.
The police also recovered 230gm of gold ornaments and three motorcycles from them.
Anup Shetty, Superintendent of Police, said that with the arrest of Purushotam Judi, 25, and Pramod Patil, 29, nine cases of chain-snatching had been solved. The police saw the two moving on a motorcycle suspiciously and caught them. After being interrogated, the two reportedly admitted to committing the offence.
Based on their information, the team also took three others, Siddaramappa Chikkasindogi, Kali Prasad and Santosh , all said to be receivers of stolen property, Mr. Shetty added.
