An alert police team, which was carrying out vehicle checks picked up two students from a school in Hasthinapuram for stealing an expensive mobile phone from a woman. Chromepet police came across the two youth near Sanatorium bridge on Tuesday night and when they checked the youth they found an high-end mobile with them. When questioned, they could not give proper a reply. The youth confessed to the police that the phone was snatched from a woman near Selaiyur. Based on their confession, the police sent them to Children’s Observation Home, after producing them produced them first in a court.
