Vidya Prasarak Mandal (VPM), established as a Public Trust in 1957 for the Kannada Linguistic Minority of Mumbai and the suburbs, will conclude its diamond jubilee celebrations this month.
In a statement, VPM said the institution has grown several folds since its humble beginnings as the Kannada Primary School with three students and one teacher on the rented premises of S.M.P.R Shala, Mulund (West).
It has planned expansion works, expected to cost Rs. 22 crore, such as urgent redevelopment of the school building in Mulund (East), and adding new facilities and extra classrooms at its Airoli campus.
