Blockchain-based phone expected in November

A Swiss consumer electronics company, Sirin Labs, is embarking on the manufacture of a smartphone based on blockchain technology. A dual-screen design has reportedly been finalised for this phone called ‘Finney’, which will be made in partnership with handset manufacturer Foxconn. It is expected to be launched in November and will cost $999. The phone is likely to have a two-inch slider ‘safe screen’. It will run on Sirin OS that is based on Android 8.1, and will have a behaviour-based intrusion protection system, secure communications, a cold storage crypto-wallet, and a proprietary decentralised application store alongside Google Play store, according to ZDNet.
