Veteran Tollywood actor and former MP Kaikala Satyanarayana died at the age of 87 after a brief illness, in the early hours on 23rd December at his Jubilee Hills mansion in Hyderabad. Satyanarayan’s last rites has been performed today at the Mahaprasthanam cremation in Jubilee Hills. He was 87 years old, and his wife, son, and two daughters survive him.
The final journey continued from Kaikala Satyanarayana’ residence in Film Nagar to Jubilee Hills. The funeral was completed with state honors.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR, Megastar Chiranjeevi, Jana Sena chief and actor Power Star Pawan Kalyan and many film and political celebrities paid tributes to Kaikala Satyanarayana’ mortal remains. Kaikala Satyanarayana’ acted in more than 750 movies. Apart from being an actor, he also worked as a producer and politician.
Theformer MP Kaikala Satyanarayana had been suffering from health problems for the past few days. He died at four o’clock in the morning on Friday.
Kaikala Satyanarayana was a close friend of famed actor and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, and he briefly entered politics. He was elected to 11th Lok Sabha from Machilipatnam on a Telugu Desam Party ticket in 1998, but he left politics after that.
