The highlight will be a session on the future of 5G network in India
The city will host a three-day biennial strategic affairs and security conclave from Thursday.
Organised by Synergia Foundation, the Synergia Conclave, now in its seventh edition, this year’s theme is ‘The Future of Security: Beyond the Curve’. Over 150 global policy makers, strategic security practitioners and academicians are expected to discuss key issues.
Key speakers include Admiral Timothy Frazer Peter, the Vice Chief of Defence, United Kingdom; P.S. Raghavan, Chairman of National Security Advisory Board; and Uzi Arad, former National Security Advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Union Minister Suresh Prabhu will participate in the event.
According to the Foundation, the event includes sessions and topics on telecommunication, aerospace and defence, the future of cyber security, geopolitical security and India’s neighbourhood.
The highlight will be a session on the future of 5G network in India, on which Synergia Foundation has authored a policy paper for the Union government.
“Combined with Artificial Intelligence, 5G networks have deep vulnerabilities and backdoor risks. We are arguing that unlike earlier we need to work on security and on that build the technology and not the other way round. Because of the security vulnerability, it is also important to build an indigenous system,” said Tobby Simon, founder and president, Synergia Foundation.
Leading Telecom Service Providers, policy makers from the Union government and strategic experts are expected to participate.
The conclave will be held at Taj West End from October 17 to October 19.
