The Secretary and Correspondent of the SBIOA Educational Trust, Dr. Thomas Franco Rajendra Dev, as part of his ‘save environment’ initiative planted saplings along the mud bund of Mambakkam Lake on the day of his retirement. He motivated the children to plant trees in order to protect the natural water bodies. He explained how trees help in retaining rain water, recharge the ground water and increase soil fertility. The students of std 4 to 6 participated in the event.
