Skoda Auto has unveiled Slavia, a mid-sized sedan, the second product under its INDIA 2.0 project. The price will be announced in February and the company has started accepting bookings. Panchayat clerk held on graft charges

Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption officers on Thursday arrested a clerk in Kundrathur town panchayat for bribery.

A person lodged a complaint alleging that he had been asked bribes of ₹25,000 by Dhanraj, executive officer at the Kundrathur town panchayat, and ₹10,000 by clerk Selvaraj in order to get a plot layout approved.

1,109 fresh COVID cases in Ernakulam

The district on Friday recorded 1,109 cases of SARS-CoV-2, with a test positivity rate of 10.7%.

A total of 973 patients recovered.

The district has 7,870 COVID patients right now and 10,366 samples were dispatched on Friday for testing.

As many as 18,381 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered on Friday, as per data available at 5.30 p.m.

The Health Department said that 112 persons recovered from the disease and the district had 1,204 active cases on Saturday.

Coimbatore district had a test positivity rate of 1.4 % on Friday.
